Thanks for joining in Sarah.

Thanks for joining in Sarah. Can you tell us more about the RYN's joint membership submission?

Simon

Rural Youth Network is a

Rural Youth Network is a membership organisation with over 600 members. Our members are people who work with young people in rural areas. Of our members over 90 of them subscribe to our Consultation Network. When Rural Youth Network come across consultations that are relevant to our members we invite them to submit comments to us and from the young people that they work with so that Rural Youth Network can make a consultation response on their behalf. This response is then a joint submission from all the members (and young people) who responded as well as Rural Youth Network's additional thoughts. More information on Rural Youth Network can be found at www.ruralyouth.com. Membership to the organisation, including the Consultation Network is free. Hope this helps, if you need any further info just let me know! Sarah Hope

Really looking forward to

Really looking forward to hearing what the Rural Youth members come up with :)

It strikes me there could be some great opportunities to explore how RuralNet links to the agenda's around youth participation, young people online etc.

For example:
* Young Experts Online to support young people applying for Youth Opportunity and Youth Capital Fund money perhaps?
* And xPress Digest tagged for youth issues / opportunities would be great...

There may also be some interesting linkages to work on Youth Work and Social Networking (http://blogs.nya.org.uk/ywsn/) in terms of the need for training and development to make sure technology is well used to support young people in rural areas...

Thank you for the invite to

Thank you for the invite to attend the Collaboration Convention on the 10th April. I am looking forward to attending to find out what I can learn to benefit the members of Rural Youth Network.
